  • Co-Founder of Resilient Middle Georgia

    Director of Workforce Strategy and Initiatives, Resilient Georgia

    Dr. Andrea Meyer Stinson received her Ph.D. from Florida State University, M.S. from Purdue University, and B.A./B.S. from the University of Georgia. She is currently the Director of Workforce Strategy & Initiatives for Resilient Georgia. For the past twenty years, Dr. Meyer Stinson was teaching undergraduate, graduate, and medical students. From 2011-2023 she was a professor in Mercer University’s School of Medicine. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and an AAMFT Approved Supervisor. She has worked therapeutically with children, couples, families, and communities since 2001.

    Her clinical experience has occurred in a variety of settings including residential, day treatment, and outpatient mental health as well as integrative behavioral health. She is trained in Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs), and Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP). Dr. Meyer Stinson is the Past President for the Georgia Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (GAMFT) and former board member for Resilient Georgia. She enjoys reading, spending time with her family, hiking, and planning for vacations!

  • Coalition Coordinator

    Darice is currently pursuing her Master's degree in Organizational Leadership at Mercer University. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Public Health from Mercer University in 2019. Over the past four years, Darice has been deeply engaged with various community groups and initiatives, including Live Well Twiggs, Resilient Middle Georgia, and A.G.A.P.E. Campus Ministry, where she and her husband serve as Campus Leaders. Alongside her community involvement, Darice operates Judah David Creations, a crochet shop on Etsy named in honor of their son. Additionally, she shares her passion for music by teaching piano lessons to students of all ages.

    Post-graduation, Darice aims to leverage her diverse experiences to support organizations in creating strategies for transformation, enhancing operational efficiency, and establishing robust systems. In her free time, she cherishes moments with her husband, friends, and family.

  • Sophie is a six-year-old Chocolate Lab mix. Her mom was rescued in Crawford County, GA where she was born a few weeks later. Sophie is a working Service Dog. She alerts her human mom or handler to help keep her safe. Sophie enjoys playing with her three fur brothers and her feathery sister. She also enjoys playing ball. During summer months, she likes to take swims with her brothers. She also loves a good treat, but not too many veggies!

  • The Executive Director of Community Partnership

    Jill Vanderhoek is the Executive Director of Community Partnership, the Family Connection collaborative for Macon-Bibb County which is the convening and collaborative organization of Macon. Community Partnership aims to bring partners together to work on important issues together to improve outcomes for families and children.

    Originally from Florida, Jill and her husband moved to Middle Georgia in 2004 and have called it home ever since raising their three daughters in downtown Macon. In her free time you will find Jill playing pickleball at Tattnall Square Pickleball Center.

  • Project Coordinator

    Amanda joined Resilient Middle Georgia in June 2022 as a project coordinator on contract with Macon-Bibb Area Community Partnership. Amanda is Resilient Middle Georgia’s general point of contact. She coordinates daily operations including marketing and communications, training and scheduling, grant reporting, and Handle With Care programming. A graduate of Middle Georgia State University, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. While in school, Amanda collaborated with several local agencies to promote mental health awareness, focus on trauma-informed care, and to build resilience and healthy coping skills within the community. She is a member of the Society for Community Research and Action (SCRA), a member of the alliance for the Macon Mental Health Matters initiative, and is part of the Community Engagement, Education, and Outreach workgroup for One Safe Place Macon.

  • Public Health AmeriCorps Member

    Debra has worked with Resilient Middle Georgia for the last two years as an AmeriCorps Public Health Member. She focuses largely on community outreach where she works to spread the word about the RMG coalition’s mission, education and training, and programming. When she’s not out in the community, you can find her at home spending time with her fur-babies or working in her garden. She is also a passionate advocate for sharing the importance of service animals in communities.
